When asked "What does art say to you?" "Does it make you wonder, are you bored, insert spoon...gag. Being a young artist my art is not titled and is intended to make you think! That way you get your own ideas and it is in a way your own world. Does that make any sense or am I just a weirdo?" these are some of the responses I got!
LAM (from Utah) said..."Art makes me jealous. Jealous of the people who can do such a thing.
To this day I still can't draw stick figures. I even wanted to be an animator at one point in my life. Ha!" Lam has always seemed really negative to me! Anyhoo...
KEVIN(Denver) said..."Nope... makes perfect sense to me... but you're an artist... so of course you're weird. And the fact that I understand what you are saying does not make you any less weird... because I am also weird.
It makes me think about what the artist might have been thinking... and how they felt. I also look at technique and of course medium. Lastly I have to ask myself whether I care" {I love Kevin}

Whether it be visual arts, music, and/or literary arts, art can offer us new ways of understanding, new ways of being. I suppose I'm not a good judge here: I teach English, write poetry and essays, and, surprise, used to sing in the choir and play in the band while in college. I'm biased toward art and artists. Some artist(e)s works are purely an expression and release of ideas and emotions inside of him/her.
Some artist(e)s works are purely a message for their spectators and occasionally the two are combined.
I don't appreciate "art with a message" unless it is American Pop Art. For the most part, I want to draw my own emotions and conclusions about life from art. I don't want art spelling anything out for me." {Luda it's like you see to the core of me!}

Montgomery (Minneapolis) said..."Embrace the weirdness! We're artists because we see the world differently than other people. Not better, just differently. Even if you never produced another piece of art for the rest of your life, you are still an artist. It's all about how we view, experience and interpret the world around us. Personally, I'm proud to be considered weird."
Montgomery is my new bestie...were going to drink tea, and eat danish's in the sun on the porch and talk about a leaf and how beautiful it is! We need more open minded people in the world!
